Drysuit Orientation

Drysuits are extremely popular in this area as well as in any other area with cold water. There are distinct benefits to drysuit diving such as increased comfort and warmth, lower air consumption, decreased risk of DCS, and the flexibility to adjust for diving in different temperatures by wearing different drysuit underwear. There are several different types of drysuits, and each one has advantages and disadvantages. Drysuit diving also involves challenges such as suit maintenance, buoyancy control, and weight management. It is highly recommended that a new drysuit diver take a drysuit orientation or specialty course before diving with the suit in open water. Splash Aquatics offers monthly drysuit orientations which consist of both lecture time in the classroom and practice time in a local, heated pool. We also offer full drysuit diving specialty courses upon request.
